P90X Day 6 – Kenpo
P90X brought Kenpo today. This is very form heavy. Similar to Yoga X, you almost need to watch this one first before attempting due to the various moves. Short, powerful moves work best here. A fun workout, but I need to get better at it and push harder. My heart rate was in the zone, but could have been better.
Diet was much better today. Hit all my proteins and was only short 1 dairy. I found how I’m going to start getting that dairy though the rest of this 4 week cycle: cottage cheese in my salad. My wife makes a homemade “thousand island” type dressing that we’ve replaced with low-fat ingredients.
So tomorrow is an optional rest day. Based on the tightness I’ve had this week, I’m opting to do X Stretch and work on limbering up.
So, with that, my week 1 is essentially complete.
I am not going to take official pictures/measurements until 30 days. Once I do I will post them on this blog.
