P90X Round 2 Day 1 – Chest And Back, Ab Ripper X And Wow, What Soreness From P90X
It feels good to be back to P90X….
Yesterday I started my round 2 on the 90 day cycle with Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X. First, I could tell that my diet over the holiday weekend was really bad. I felt like I was going to hurl during the entire Chest and Back routine. Supper was still heavy on my stomach (a lot of fatty foods as well as sweets).
But I was able to push through well and had a decent amount of reps, more than what I started with in round 1. I found myself sputtering at the end of chest and back as my energy level bottomed out. Ab Ripper X was then a HUGE challenge. My goal was to do every rep of every, but I simply could not because of the stomach. I did do 25 of the first 4 and 20 of the cross-leg/wide leg sit-ups, and then fell off the wagon with Fifer scissors. Oh well, there’s next time.
I did my best, forgot the rest, and get another crack on day 3.
Diet was good, too, although not a lot of variety. I’m going to write a post soon about doing P90X on a budget, including the diet.
I was a tad sore in the arms after the workout. Today (day 2, which I’ll write about later) my chest is very sore. Good workout.
