Introducing The Ultimate Reset – Beachbody Ultimate Reset

April 16th, 2012

Beachbody’s Ultimate Reset has been released!  Here is a video describing the reset and what it will do for you.

I’ve been reading a lot about systemic responses, especially the role inflammation plays in heart disease.  Toxins, foods we eat, stress, all can play a part in inflammation.  When you are chronically fatigued, you start developing problems:  Higher cholesterol, blood pressure, and other cardiovascular issues.

In other words, fighting inflammation is extremely important to avoiding heart disease and related illnesses.

Taking it one step further, eliminating the need for processed foods, especially sugars, can drastically reduce inflammation as well as your chance of being a Type 2 Diabetic (and yes, you can become type 2 without being overweight).

I’m the first to admit when I saw the Ultimate Reset I was intrigued.  And then I was concerned as it moves you to a strict vegan diet for 2 weeks (with one week being nothing but fruits and veggies….but something I could definitely handle).  After all, I love my meat.  But the reason why this is a short term (21 day) cleanse is to not detract you from eating your normal healthy foods but rather have your body take in food that is nutrient rich with ease of digestion.  Fruits and veggies are great for this over a short term.

With my thoughts out of the way, here is some more info:

The reset is based around 6 supplements and eating clean.  VERY clean.  It is a fairly regimented program and will take some discipline and support (that’s why I am putting together an Ultimate Reset Challenge Group).  It also includes NO EXERCISE!  Hard to believe that Beachbody would put out something like that, but it is for a reason.  Exercise produces a mild inflammatory reaction in the body, albeit a positive one.  The goal of the reset is to minimize inflammation.  So giving up exercise for 21 days will not be the end of the world.

So who is the reset for?

1.   It is NOT for just those that are overweight….although you will probably lose weight on it.
2.  It is NOT just for people who need to eat better.  Athletes can use this too to improve their body and function.
3.  It is NOT just for people with inflammatory conditions, although they would greatly benefit from it.

In short, the Beachbody Ultimate Reset is for everyone.  I plan on using it once I can break free from physical therapy for 3 weeks (i.e. the no exercise portion).  The more I read about our food sources, and the more I heard about the Ultimate Reset, the more I knew this is something that I will (and need to) do.

The  6 supplements?

1.  Alkanalyze – To restore your body’s pH balance.
2.  Oxygenize – Liquid oxygen that helps eliminate toxins.
3.  Mineralize – Natural healthy salts to introduce trace minerals back to the digestive track.
4.  Revitalize – Natural Pre and Probiotics.
5.  Optimize – Systemic emzymes to help reduce inflammation.
6.  Detox – Restore optimal digestive health.

All  6 of these products are made with organic, natural ingredients (no chemicals here).  Combine these with Tropical Strawberry Shakeology (the only Shakeology product allowed during the reset) for optimal health, resetting your body, your metabolism, and your digestion to its ideal state.

For maintenance, they suggest continuing to take Alkanalyze and Optimize along with Tropical Shakeology.

Would you like to know more about the Ultimate Reset?  Post questions or comments below!

P90X Beachbody Energy And Endurance Review

January 25th, 2012

Over the last week I’ve had the chance to try out Beachbody’s new Energy And Endurance pre-workout supplement.

I was not sure what to expect with this.  The only pre-workout anythings I’ve ever taken before were a banana (or some fat/carb/protein mix of food) and some pills made by Body Fortress that were to boost nitrous oxide for your workout.

So taking a drinkable pre-workout supplement was something new to me.

I’ve heard a lot of people using things like Jackd3, NOXplode, and similar type drinks, but have always been a bit leary of putting stuff like that into my body for several reasons:

1.  How would I feel while it was working through me:  Jittery, nauseated, wired, etc.

2.  How would I feel after it wore off (i.e. would I crash).

3.  Would I like the taste?

4.  Cost

I know a lot of people take BCAA’s either before or after a workout and that seems to work for them.  So when this came out, I knew I wanted to try it being all natural and good for you, but just a bit…nervous to try it.

So here’s my experience with it:

First day I used it was a Legs and Back day.  I did not feel jittery.  I did not feel all jacked up on Mountain Dew either.  I did feel a bit more awake (which is good for early morning workouts) but did not feel like I was going to bounce off the walls either.  During the workout I never felt depleted.  Again, this is something good for someone working through a Primal style ketogenic diet.  More than anything, I felt good after the workout.  I got extra reps in.  I got to push harder.

And yes, I felt it the next day!

Second time was Kenpo.  I cut the serving in half (one scoop instead of two) and it worked well.  In fact, I was able to skip all the breaks in this one and just workout straight through the routine.

Next was a Chest and Back day.  Again, felt energized.  I had more energy, could push harder (maybe not a good idea with my bicep tendon inflamed, but that’s a different story), more reps, etc.  Did not feel wiped out after the workout.

Plyo Day.  Here is where I thought it would get it’s real test.  The amount of energy I had sustained throughout this workout was amazing!  Even better is my heart rate stayed in controlled ranges the entire time.  I ended up burning just shy of 700 calories skipping the bonus round.  And I felt good after the workout.

Today, final day before this review, was Shoulders and Arms.  Same thing:  Great energy, good endurance (even after waking up earlier, getting to bed slightly later, etc).

The taste?  It’s not the best, but its not bad.  It comes in a Lemon Lime flavor.  It taste a bit tart and has that slight stevia aftertaste, but it manageable for me.  I usually just chug it anyways!

The most amazing thing is no crash.  No jitters.  Just sustained energy.

20 calories, 5g carbs with 4 of it being sugar.  Nothing too alarming there.

So there you have it.  I definitely suggest it as a pre-workout supplement to try.  It is affordable and it works!  I cannot wait until I can fully do P90X and give it a whirl…can you say soreness city?!

Team Beachbody Coaching – 10 Reasons You Should Become One By December 31st

December 28th, 2011

We’re closing out another year and getting excited about all the possibilities a new year brings!  I personally love this time of year.  I love the chance to reflect back on the previous year, both good and bad, and decide what I’ll improve on and the new things I want to accomplish.

And I hope you’re doing the same!  It’s a new year and time to take on new challenges, do more than you previously did, and find what makes you happy.

One of the best things I have done in previous years is to become involved with Beachbody as a Team Beachbody Coach.  I know a lot of people don’t like the ideas of “work from home” businesses, network marketing, MLM, whatever you want to call it, and that’s fine.  There’s been a lot of garbage out there over the years that has made a lot of companies look bad.

However, ever asked yourself “what if?”

What if you got involved with something real?

What if you started making $200 – $500 extra a month?  (Not an income claim, just asking what that would do for you)

What if you found something that made you excited?

With that, I want to give you the 10 reasons why I think you should join as a Team Beachbody coach with me between now and the end of the year….which is just a few days away.  If any of these apply to you, we should talk.

1.  You have used one of Beachbody’s products, had success, and others have asked you what you have done.

This is the easiest in to share what products Beachbody has.  We are not sellers, peddlers, etc.  I personally hate to try to sell someone on anything.  However, I do speak with passion about what has worked for me, what I’ve seen work for others, etc.  People who knew me 5 years ago are amazed by my transformation.  If you’ve lost a lot of weight from P90X, Turbo Fire, Insanity, Brazil Butt Lift, Shakeology, or any other Beachbody product, why not get compensated for referring others to make the same change you did?

2.  You love to see others accomplish something.

I love success!  But as much as I love success for me, I love success for others that much more.  There’s something exciting about seeing someone else reach a goal.  If you get that warm-fuzzy, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

3.  You want to earn more money without sacrificing your job

Ok, this one always comes across as cliche in this business, but it’s true.  You can make something extra, part-time, without giving up your day (or night) job.  I have a very demanding full-time job and still find time to make money each and every week.  Oh yeah, I should mention that pay IS weekly.

4.  You need a tax write-off

First disclaimer:  Consult your tax professional.  But, business expenses are a tax write-off.  Start-up cost, products that you use for marketing, travel relating to business, etc, all can be written off, with the blessing from your CPA.  There are many books and informational websites out there that detail what all home business expenses can be written off.

5.  You want to take more trips

Sure, you’ve got to work hard and earn them, but this business will allow you to win trips to great locations as well as you can earn more money and just take some on your own.  That’s a big reason why I love this business:  I earn enough extra money to take my family to do things that I might not have been able to otherwise.  And my goal is to earn more, so I can do more.

6.  You feel like you’re stuck at your job

I’m a believer that if you really want to make a change, you can.  If you don’t like your job, do something about it.  I have a friend in this business that built an incredible income in just a year and a half.  Would you work hard for 18 months to be able to have more freedom, or at least the option to not have to depend on your job?  Granted, she worked REALLY hard and did the right things…but what if it took you 2 years?  3 years?  5 years?  Would it be worth it?

7.  You love success and recognition

I think it is part of human nature to be recognized for good work.  We strive for good performance reviews at work, we like to be praised when we do something good, and you work for it.  Team Beachbody is no different:  Do something, get recognized.  Do something bigger, get recognized again.  You can do whatever you want, and there is no one holding you back but yourself.

8.  You want to be debt free

I’m not promising you riches without work.  But, if you could add just $200/month to your bottom line, over time that can compound and move you out of debt.  $500/month could decrease the amount of time it takes for you to get out of debt.  You don’t have to be making six figures and on the front of magazines in order to be debt free.  Just by getting started with Team Beachbody, working diligently, and doing a little something each day, you can begin building an income that will help you pay off those credit cards, that house, etc.  Again….it will take work.  No one is backing a money truck up to your door.  But it can happen.

9.  You want to improve as a person

We build a culture of improving yourself.  The best way to be a better person is to be more involved with personal development, and we’re going to help you with that.  You don’t have to be the best reader or rally like to read that much.  But a little personal development will go a long ways.  I can promise you this:  Taking all of the money out of the equation….if you want to be a better person, give me 90 days working with me as your mentor coach.  Be willing to invest just a few dollars into books (or hit up the library).  Commit to me, I’ll commit to you, and at the end of 90, you’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll feel about yourself, both physically and mentally.

10.  You have nothing to lose

The best thing about Team Beachbody – 100% guarantee.  You have nothing to lose.  Beachbody backs up all their products with a 30 day guarantee (for Shakeology or our shorter programs) all the way up to a 90 day guarantee for programs like P90x.  Don’t like how the business is going after 30 days?  No problem….although I think you have to give it 1 year to really know how it will work for you.  And Beachbody will help you build your business.  I get free customers all the time from Beachbody.  See all of the P90X infomercials?  Those customers get assigned to coaches who are working this business, with some real simple qualifications.

Success or failure is always your choice.  And its always fluid.  You can choose either direction at any point.  My goal is to show you how to get started with Team Beachbody and immediately start moving towards that success line.  So with that in mind, here’s how to get started:

One note I’ll point out here:  If you purchase any of our Beachbody Challenge packages (fitness routine + Shakeology on Home Direct + Club Membership), Beachbody will save the $40 it cost to be a coach.  Plus this will give you everything you need to get started.

1. If you are already a Team Beachbody Member and another coach is assigned to you….

You need to drop me an email (brent@getfitwithbrent.com) telling me you are already a member but you’d like to join with me as a coach.  I’ll have to send you some basic instructions on what to do.  This will take a bit less than 24 hours to complete, but we can get it done before the end of the year.

Also, we need to setup a time to talk by phone, so give me a call:  501-438-9592.

2.  If you are already a Team Beachbody Member and I am your coach

Log into TeamBeachbody.com and under the “Coach” menu at the top, click “Be A Coach”.  Or visit my shortcut link:  http://www.GetFitWithBrent.com/BecomeACoach.

You can either choose to just join a coach and pay the $39.95, or you can purchase a Beachbody Challenge Pack and have this fee waived.

3.  If you are not a Team Beachbody Member

http://www.GetFitWithBrent.com/BecomeACoach is where you go to join.  Again, you can pay the $39.95 and just be a coach or purchase a Beachbody Challenge Pack and have this fee waived.  The Challenge Pack will give you everything you need to be a success:  One of our fitness programs plus Shakeology (using the products helps), plus a club membership.

So here’s my call to action:  Call me.  Sign-up.  Get started.  Don’t second guess:  You’ll be talking yourself out of the best opportunity to come by you.  You have nothing to lose and everything to gain, so why not get started today?

2012 Fitness Goals Time – Join A Beachbody Challenge Group!

December 27th, 2011

Guess what:  It’s December 27th.  Christmas is over.  We’re all stuffed on all the holidays foods we can stand.  Personally, I’m about sugared out (yes, I’m the first to admit I’ve had WAY too much sugar over the last….month).  But in just 5 days, it is 2012, and everyone is doing the same thing:

New Years Resolutions!

I saw a stat that other day, and I don’t know its validity, but it sounds about right:  65% of Americans make a resolution to lose weight in the new year.  If that stat is true, I’d like to know how many of them stick with it beyond 90 days!  We do know that a majority of people who join a gym for the resolution QUIT during the first 90 days.  That’s a fairly widely known fact.

But 65% start, and many of them are near doomed before they lift the first dumbbell or eat their first thing of yogurt (which if you eat Yoplait yogurt is loaded with High Fructose Corn Syrup, which is NOT healthy).  Sounds harsh, but is true.  Why?

-  Most people do not know where to start.
-  Most people do not know what to do.
-  Most people do not know what to eat.
-  Most people do not have the support needed to last 90 days or beyond.

It’s sad.  I’m faced with it too.  There are plenty of people that do not understand why I eat the way I do, why I love to exercise 5-6 days a week, why I subject myself to “painful” or “difficult” programs like P90X (which is neither painful or difficult, but that’s another post for another day).  Fortunately I have a wife who is also a Beachbody Coach with me, just one who is much more slender, prettier, and doesn’t have to fight as hard to lose weight….well, fortunate for her that is!

So how do we structure things to help you succeed?

Enter The Beachbody Challenge…

Now this sounds daunting.  If you are severely overweight, the thought of a “Beachbody” may be a far fetched idea.  Ignore that.  Beachbody is just a company name.

Let’s call this the YOUR body challenge.

What do you want your body to look like?  Realistically, look in the mirror, and decide what you’d want to be shaped different.  Slimmer waist?  Trim upper body (for the guys)?  Sleek curves?  Muscle tone?

You can do all of that.  I’m not promising it happens overnight, but you can do it.  And that is where the Beachbody (i.e. Your) Body Challenge can help.

Here are the basics:

1.  You are going to commit do doing something.  30 days, 60 days, 90 days, whatever, you’re going to commit to a fitness program, good nutrition, etc.

2.  You’re going to be placed into a support group.  5 people max, plus me.  These are your virtual gym buddies.  These are the people that we are all going to lean on, rely on for motivation, celebrate successes with, etc.  You may never meet these people in person, but these people will be there for you.  Remember, they are doing the same thing you are.

3.  You’re going to have all the tools at your disposal:  A fitness program, an eating guide, the highest quality nutritional supplement and meal replacement shake, and support.  Everything you need to meet your goal will be available.

4.  You’re going to promise yourself to not give up.  Don’t make the promise to me.  You don’t know me.  It’s easy for you to give up on a commitment to me.  But, look in the mirror, look at yourself in the mirror, and decide that this is what you want for your life:  A healthier, leaner, happier you.

And this is how you get started:

Visit my Beachbody Challenge Group Pages.  These are all the challenge groups I can possibly run starting January 1st (or slightly there after, giving shipping times).

Find which group you’d like to join.

Order the appropriate pack (if one is required), or if you already have what you need, let me know you want to join.

And then get ready for it!

On a more serious note, I take what I do as an “Independent Team Beachbody Coach” very seriously (and yes, I had to use quotes in that).  As someone who has lost a lot of weight, struggles around Christmas, and then always loses it quickly again, I know the hardest step is sometimes just getting started.  That is what I’m here to help you do:  Get started.

And beyond getting started, its keeping you in the game.  It’s keeping you engaged, excited, motivated through life’s stress and the stuff that gets in the way, and helping you realize that you CAN do this, and that you are 100% WORTH IT!

Now…let’s get started.  Together.

Three Christmas Gift Ideas For Your Fitness….Or Someone Else’s

November 29th, 2011

It’s the holidays, which means Christmas is soon coming (as of today, 25 days away!).  So while figuring out presents to get your loved ones, don’t forget about your (or their) fitness needs and things that can give them that extra something they want out of life:  Health, fitness, happiness, etc.

So let’s start with some of my top picks from Beachbody:

1.  P90X2

The newest workout from Tony Horton.  Pre-Order ends tomorrow (November 30th), and with that you get free shipping.  Even if you cannot order by November 30th, it would still be a great to get your loved one, especially if they are a P90X graduate or just want to improve their athletic performance.

P90X2 will help them feel younger, run faster, jump higher, be more athletic, and “kick the panties off of anyone who tries to get on the court or field” with them (ok, so I shamelessly stole that line from the original P90X Plyo workout, but hey….it will apply here).

P90X2 Base kit is only $119.95.

2.  Beachbody Challenge Packs

This package is a bit more all-inclusive for those who need it all:  A great fitness routine, added nutritional benefit of Shakeology, and support/meal planner through the Team Beachbody Club membership.  To order a package it is real simple:  Go to my Beachbody Challenge site, register for the challenge, and then purchase the package that you want.

Need some suggestions on what to order?  Here’s my opinion (take it or leave it).

If you are a male, I suggest P90X if you like to lift weights, Insanity if you like more cardio based workouts.

If you are a female, I suggest starting with Turbo Fire, unless you like to lift weights and hate the entire peppy cardio scene.  If you like weight lifting, go P90X.  If you rather do cardio but want something grueling, definitely choose Insanity.

If these are a bit “steep” and looking for something, but just something that cost a bit less, there are packages for cheaper.  The Ten Minute Trainer is a great option for those that are always in a hurry.

For the ladies, and I highly recommend this:  If you’re already fairly thin, just want to shed a bit of fat, and really want to work on your booty (think lifted, better shape, much sexier and looks killer in both jeans and a bikini), I cannot more highly suggest the Brazil Butt Lift challenge pack.

What are the advantages to getting a package?

For starters, free shipping.  Put it this way:  If you were to order P90X, shipping is around $13.  Shakelology is another $13.  So there is $26 off there.  The cost of things is also greatly reduced.  Instead of $240 for P90X and Shakology, as an example, it is only $205 + tax (no shipping, remember).  Plus you’ll get the tools you need:  Shakeology on Home Direct, the fitness routine, and 30 days membership to the Beachbody Club.

Plus, you’ll get a chance to win $500 a day just for logging your workouts.

I’ll be starting some focused Challenge groups on January 1-2 range, so be looking for more info there.

3.  Beachbody Gift Cards

Yes, it’s the old cop-out gift.  But what better way to give a gift card than to give one that allows your loved ones, or yourself, to chose what they (you) want to do?  If you are not a mind reader, this is a great option.  You can get them a gift card as low as $25 and all the way up to $500.

To order a git card, you must be at least a free member of Team Beachbody.  Then simply go to order a Gift Card by clicking here or through the Team Beachbody website.

Other Non-Beachbody Gifts

Of course, there are many other gifts you can get them that are non-Beachbody but still contribute to their fitness, or your fitness, depending on who you are buying for, of course.

1.  Primal Blueprint

Hey, I could always use some of my readers going primal with me.  This is a serious great read and will make you question a lot of what people have said is the “right” way to eat to lose weight?  Sound a little out there?  Check out these success stories.

2.  Vibram 5 Fingers

They are trendy, and they are primal-ish.

3.  A good heart rate monitor

Always useful for runners, light cardio junkes, etc.

4.  A Crossfit Membership

Check out Crossfit and find them a box in your area to join.

And, of course, I’m sure there are many, many other things you could get them.  Like a yoga mat.  Or some Select Techs.  Or a massage.  Heck, get yourself a massage and give them a yoga mat!

Enjoy the Christmas gift buying experience, and be safe this holiday season!

Planning For Your Fitness

June 20th, 2011

If you have a goal, you have to know how to get there.  This goes for everything in life:  Career, financial, and fitness.  The problem is, too many people simply just “show up” to exercise but there is no clear plan on how to go from point A (where they are now) to point B (where they want to be).

My wife thinks I over think and over plan, and she may be right.  But there is never any doubt in my mind about what I’m going to do when the time arrives.  I have a plan in place, I execute the plan, and I see results.

Let’s talk about planning:

Often times people revolve their fitness around a date:  A wedding, a vacation, a reunion, or something.  They peg that date on the calendar and say, “I want to lose X pounds by this date” or, “I want to look hot in this dress for this event.”

They get their goal, they put a date to that goal, and then they just start exercising.  Now, that’s good.  I’m all for that!  I’m a firm believer that some activity is better than no activity.  I do believe that these people would best be served with a clear cut plan of action, either coming from a personal trainer or a program like P90X, Turbo Fire, or Insanity (or any other Beachbody workout).

I’m going to use my 2011 as an example.  I have milestone dates in there that line up well with what I’m working to accomplish.  I personally use Beachbody products because, like a personal trainer, they give me exactly what to do, how to do it, and instruct me on everything from form to nutrition.

My first big date is June 16 when I attend the Beachbody Coach’s Summit.  I mark that on the calendar as the first big event.  From the start of the year, that is 5 months and a couple of weeks away.

I started P90X and will finish it April 2nd.  That gives me 10.5 weeks until I leave.

Now, I’ll be exercising at The Summit, but I have other tools in my arsenal other than P90X that I can incorporate.  In this case, I’m leaning towards doing Insanity, a 9 week workout, giving me 1.5 weeks.  In that time, I’m looking into doing the 5 Day Inferno Plan from Turbo Fire.  That will take me almost up until I leave, which I will supplement my workouts until I get back.

My next big day is going to be around August 1st, when we leave for vacation to the beach.  Now, most Beachbody programs run on a 60 or 90 day cycle (at least the ones I will do).  After doing a 60 day cycle, I’m going want to do a 90 day cycle of something that includes resistance work.

I want to be working differently all year long, so at this point I will lean towards doing either RevAbs or a hybrid between Chalean Extreme and Turbo Fire.  That will put me exercising on vacation, but I’m okay with that.

So a 90 day program starting June 19 (12 weeks for the hybrid, and either 12 or 13 for Rev Abs) will have me completing either September 10 or 17.

The next and final big date of the year will be December 17, when my lovely wife April and I are looking at going on a cruise.  Which ever of the above programs I do not do, I will do the other.  So I will be completing it somewhere in the middle of the holiday season, most likely around December 10.  This will give me 5 days to do one more big burn before we leave for the cruise (again, leaning towards a Turbo Fire 5 Day Inferno Plan).

So there I have almost all of 2011 planned out.  My goal is to not repeat programs and to continually keep my muscles and body guessing.  I’m aiming to continually challenge my body in different ways over the course of 12 months, which should allow me to improve my fitness and reach the goals I want.

Some additional notes:

Yes, there is always the possibility for sickness or injury to occur.  If it is injury I will stay on schedule and adjust to keep exercising the parts of my body not hurt (i.e. if I hurt the upper, I work the lower.  If I hurt the lower, I work the upper.  If I hurt both, I work the middle).  Sickness will be the only thing that will slow me down, and I would have to be pretty sick to stop.

If I am doing something and not feeling challenged, I will add more.  I know the first 5 months will not be a problem.  I doubt the last 7 will either.

Finally, nutrition is always a focus.  What I’m doing now is working well, and I’ll be continually making micro adjustments to it as I go along.

Beachbody – Team Beachbody Network Featured On CNBC

June 5th, 2011

Well, I woke up this morning to a very nice surprise:  CNBC did a very good article on Beachbody and, in particular, the coaching network that has helped Beachbody grow and build.

Last year we went from a bit over 20k coaches to 51k in 12 months.  That’s HUGE growth.  According to the article, we are a $400M company that is relatively quiet.  They compare us to Groupon, and company that is really making waves in the online world.

Anyways, I’ve copied the article below.  You can read the entire thing here as well:  http://www.cnbc.com/id/41357825

Beachbody Grows Exponentially Thanks To Network Marketing

There are not many companies these days that can do $400 million in sales and remain relatively anonymous.

Source: Beachbody

Yet Beachbody, a private company, grossed nearly as much as Groupon did last year and very few people talk about the robust engine that is behind exercise workout programs like P90X, INSANITY and Turbo Jam.

Under the leadership of co-founder Jon Congdon and Carl Daikeler, the company has developed a business model that seems to be Teflon, turning successful converts of its programs into network marketers who ensure that the brands flourish.

Many multi-level marketing companies are based on building a network of sellers and distributors getting rewarded based on the size of their network.

Most often, the people who have gotten in on the ground floor reap the greatest benefits while those late to the game struggle to make money.

What makes Beachbody’s network of distributors, called coaches, so successful is that these people have done the programs and are often in incredible shape. Their testimonial and therefore their business relies on how good they look, not whether they tell friends that a certain superfruit drink helps them have more energy or cures their stomach problems.

It seems like, more often than not, network marketing thrives on results which can’t be verified, but if my fat friend shows up with a six-pack, I’ll be more likely to believe he was doing an intense workout program.

Since starting the network marketing program three and half years ago, Beachbody now has 51,000 coaches who take a cut of videos and nutritional products they sell. Beachbody coaches sell $1 million worth of nutritional shakes under the brand’s Shakeology name a week. And it’s not cheap at around $120 for a month worth of servings.

“We could have built this company’s sales a lot faster at retail by selling at Walmart and Target,” Daikeler said. “But selling it through direct television (infomercials) and through our network works better for us.”

“We could have built this company’s sales a lot faster at retail by selling at Walmart and Target,” Daikeler said. “But selling it through direct television (infomercials) and through our network works better for us.”

Daikeler says that his coaches serve as walking billboards and salespeople who want to help their family and friends by helping them lose weight through the company’s exercise programs. This is unlike many other multi-level marketing companies that solely rely on building a network to make more money.

And Daikeler doesn’t have to pay for testimonials, a common practice in the infomercial business space he plays in.

“The standard network marketing doesn’t work with our model,” Daikeler said. “This is not a ponzi scheme where if you’re the last one in, you don’t have a chance to do well.”

While the average lifespan of a multi-level marketer is three months, Daikeler says his coaches remain in the system an average of 18 months. It’s why he’s confident that by the end of 2011, there will be 150,000 coaches.

“We don’t promise it will replace your every day job,” Daikeler said. “That has been the case with about 1,000 of our coaches. But what it does for others is it keeps them in shape. In order to continue to have credibility selling, you need to continue to keep up. And so, it allows the people who want to fight obesity, to be motivated by the fact that they have skin in the game.”

By continuing to have more and more videos – P90X led to a harder workout, INSANITY, and that program is leading to The Asylum, which will come out in a few weeks – I don’t see Beachbody slowing down any time soon. And the non-traditional, more patient route of using those converted to the brand by really using it is a smart approach that I think will pay off nicely down the road.

Beachbody Coaching – What Is It, And Is It Right For Me?

April 18th, 2011

So a lot of people are asking exactly what a Beachbody coach is.

Well, let me first state this:  It is one of the most rewarding things I have decided to do!

Now, with that out of the way, here’s an explanation.

A Beachbody coach, or more specifically, a Team Beachbody coach, is someone who is using Beachbody products who wants the opportunity to share those products with others, who wants to help others obtain great health and fitness, and to inspire some to help others as well.

In short, a Team Beachbody coach is someone who helps others.

Yes, it is a business opportunity.  It’s an opportunity to build a part-time to full-time income.

Yes, it takes time.

But if you really care about helping others and are enjoying your own journey to fitness, it is a perfect fit.

So what does it take to get started:

First, there is a setup fee:  $39.95.  That’s it.  That gets you everything you need to get your Team Beachbody business going.  From there, there is a $15/month (roughly) fee to maintain all of your TBB websites, e-commerce, back office, etc.  This is cheap compared to many other companies out there.

But for $40 start-up, you have the chance to take advantage of awesome products and a $100,000,000+ infomercial campaign helping you build your business.  The company does the advertising for you, you just have to find the willing and….help them!

To put it best, here is Carl Daikeler, the CEO of Beachbody, with a message about what the opportunity is all about.

If you want to know more details about coaching, then take the time to contact me now:  brent@getfitwithbrent.com.

I’m not a sales guy, I’m not high pressured, but I am excited and motivated.  I will tell you what you need and want to hear to make the right decision for you…not for me.

But if you like helping others…

If you like building your own fitness…

And you want to have the opportunity to make money helping others…

Team Beachbody is the opportunity for you.

Beachbody Is Not Just Crazy Fitness…

March 25th, 2011

Most people seem to correlate Beachbody, and the Team Beachbody network with crazy fitness routines like P90X, Insanity, and other exercise programs.

And yes, those are important products in the company’s line-up…

But Beachbody is much, much more than just a collection of fitness tools.

Here’s the deal with fitness and health:  Your diet…your nutritional intake is 70-75% of what helps get you healthy and support your fitness.  The workouts are just a catalyst to help define your results.  As we say, great abs are made in the kitchen, the workouts just help them be more defined.

So you are probably wondering what all Beachbody has to support my statement.

The first, and most obvious, is Shakeology.  Shakeology is more than a weight loss shake.  It’s more than just a meal replacement shake.  It is an entire nutritious meal and essentially a multi-vitamin in one scoop.  Go to the link to learn more about it.  I take Shakeology as part of my daily meals now and it has increased my energy, decreased my cravings, and I believe is a big reason why the fat is melting off of me right now.

The second is the line of Activit supplements and Beachbody’s own line of supplements.  These range from normal multi-vitamins, men’s and women’s health forumulations, metabolism boosting forumlations, Omega 3, immune support, joint support, and more.  This is a full line of products geared towards helping you get healthier and stay healthy.

There is also the P90X nutrition line and meal replacment/protein powders.  The P90X line includes the Results and Recovery formula, the P90X protein bars/meal replacement bars, and the P90X Peak Health Formula.  Beachbody also has a meal replacement shake separate from Shakeology as well as a whey protein shake.

And from what I’ve heard, there are more products in the pipeline.

So if you are looking at the Team Beachbody network as a possible business, know that the nutritional products we offer are high quality and vital to gaining optimal health.  The exercise routines are there to help give people the most benefit from the nutritional programs.
