So, a busy weekend….a VERY busy weekend, and I find myself well behind in posting on Insanity and the workouts. Here goes nothing:
Friday – Plyo Circuit. Felt good, pushed hard.
Saturday – Rest day
Sunday – Recovery week beings with Core Cardio and Balance. I’m thankful for a recovery week, although I think they could have introduced more variety to this week. I jumped into my wife’s Turbo Fire routine after I finished with this and did a couple of HIITs.
Today – CCB again. And tomorrow? CCB….again. Catch the drift of the recovery week? This workout is not “easy” but not challenging either.
I’m working on retooling my nutrition for month #2. I’m going to move to an Asylum-esque plan. No dairy. Less carbs to no carbs at night (and all carbs will be natural, such as either beans or rice). Bigger meals early in the day, slowly getting smaller, but still hanging around 2400 calories. I may increase this to 2600 if needed, but 2400 will have to suffice for now.
Will be interesting when I get to Asylum and do their full meal plan for 14 days, cutting back to 1800 calories and pushing hard. Hoping to get a good short-term fat burn doing that.

Wow, I’m very, VERY behind in blogging about my P90X progress. I apologize, life just sometimes gets in the way.
Last week I took a trip and did not get back until late Monday, which put me back too late (and too tired) to press play. So, instead, I pushed everything back a day and did not take a rest day. Last week was grueling battling from the weekend trip and being tired, but felt good about the progress.
Today is P90X Day 49 Yoga X. It was the start of my second recovery week. Again, I get more tired from my weekends than I do from my normal days, so I was a bit tired. I also did not have a very good diet day yesterday, which made me nauseated going to bed last night and did not sleep well. I struggled heavily during Yoga today, but struggled through it to the end.
Speaking of diet, I’ve learned that I have to add calories. I’ve gone to two double snacks now instead of just a single and it seems to be doing the trick. I hope it keeps up.
Measurements and pictures at the end of this week. I know I’ve lost a decent amount across my chest but not so much in the waistline. I hope to see a change in my back fat as well.
